Nattress has a free package of about 10 plugins for Final Cut Pro. These include things like a plugin for a smoother looking Reverse, better speed controls, a gradient dissolve and more.

Alex Gollner has released a free plugin for Final Cut Pro called Move. It allows you to animate a clip from one place to another. You can accomplish the same thing by keyframing in the Motion tab, but this plugin makes it easier and more user friendly.
