Final Cut Pro Duplicate Clip Quick Tip

Posted in Final Cut Pro Tips And Tricks  by CJ Bruce

Say that title 5 times fast. There are a few ways to duplicate a clip/sequence in Final Cut Pro. You can right (or control) click on an item and select Duplicate (or Duplicate as New Master Clip in the case of audio and video clips). This will create an exact copy of the file with the word “copy” appended after the original file name.

You can go to the Edit menu and choose duplicate or you can use the keyboard shortcut Option + D. However, there is also a handy dandy way to duplicate a clip from within the timeline.

More Than Just Final Cut Pro

Posted in Final Cut Pro News  by CJ Bruce

Hello everyone!

It has been a while since I have posted and I have been thinking about different ways to expand and enhance the site to make it a better experience for everyone. I am working on creating Forums so that members of the Final Cut Professional community will be able to discuss problems, techniques, job opportunities, etc. with one another. This should launch in the coming months.

In addition to the Forums, I will be opening the scope of the Final Cut Professional to include other software that is related to Final Cut Pro. This means I will be writing tutorials on all programs in the Final Cut Studio (Soundtrack, Motion, etc.) as well as other programs like After Effects, Photoshop, and more.

This also means that you can submit articles on any of these other programs that you may use and demonstrate how you use them with Final Cut Pro. If you are interested in submitting articles, this is how its done.

Thanks for your support and Happy Editing!
