Submit A Video Tutorial
The Final Cut Professional allows users to submit their own video tutorials to be included in the Video Tutorials store. The goal is to answer all FCP questions using 10-60 minute video tutorials. Check out all the details below:
Why would you want to make a video to put in the store?
1. Make some money! The Final Cut Professional will split any money made on the sale of your video 50/50 with you.
2. Become an FCP Celebrity! Other Final Cut Pro users will come to recognize you and your skills. They will keep coming back for your unique personality and style of teaching.
3. Expand Your FCP Knowledge! You will learn more about the program by teaching it. It forces you to dig deeply in to the subject and learn (or remember) things that will make you a better editor.
4. Help out your fellow FCP users! Remember, we were all beginners at one point.
5. Get a discount! If you create a video and it gets accepted into the tutorials store, you will receive 1/2 off any video of your choosing!
In order to be featured in the store, your video must meet certain guidelines:
• Your video must be between 10 and 60 minutes in length.
• Video should be recorded using professional screencasting software such as ScreenFlow. If you wish to use a different software, please contact me first.
• When your video is accepted, you must be able to submit at least a High Quality 720×480 version of the video along with the associated project files and media .
• A similar video must not already exist in the Video Tutorials store.
• Priority will be given to those videos that answer a question from the community.
Ideas for Video Tutorials:
• Pick a feature of FCP and cover it as in-depth as possible (ex. Multicam Editing, Certain Effects, etc.)
• Show an example of how you use a feature of Final Cut in an interesting/useful way.
• Show how you have solved a problem in Final Cut Pro in the past
• Record the actually editing of a project and narrate what you were doing and why.
