Final Cut Pro Duplicate Clip Quick Tip
Posted in Final Cut Pro Tips And Tricks by CJ Bruce
Say that title 5 times fast. There are a few ways to duplicate a clip/sequence in Final Cut Pro. You can right (or control) click on an item and select Duplicate (or Duplicate as New Master Clip in the case of audio and video clips). This will create an exact copy of the file with the word “copy” appended after the original file name.
You can go to the Edit menu and choose duplicate or you can use the keyboard shortcut Option + D. However, there is also a handy dandy way to duplicate a clip from within the timeline.
